Jeanne Marie Marquette (Stephens), a Pennsylvania native, found herself first drawn to the up-and-coming field of “Elder Law” after participating in a semester long, newly created, Elder Law Clinic, run by the esteemed Pitt Law Professor Martha Mannix. She then completed a concentration of legal studies in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Taxation and Elder Law.

While in law school and after, Jeanne Marie was employed by Deloitte and Touche, first as a Tax & Legal intern and then as a consultant. In 2005, she decided to open her own practice (Marquette Law Office) focusing on Estate Administration, Estate Planning, Elder Law, Guardianship and Real Estate. In 2017, Jeanne Marie chose to merge her growing practice with Nora Peace and Carolyn Russ. In 2020, they rebranded their practice as Pittsburgh Estate Law, P.C. to more clearly exhibit their focus in Wills and Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, and Elder Law services.

Jeanne Marie’s legal training, combined with her 25 years of hands-on experience dealing with clients, has provided her with a competitive edge and a compassionate understanding of the needs of her clients. She strives to practice law in a manner that makes her clients feel understood and respected. Jeanne Marie handles all matters related to Wills, Trusts, POA’s, Estate Administration and Probate, as well as Deeds and Real Estate Transactions. Additionally, she handles Guardianship matters and serves as legal counsel for Ursuline Support Services, a non-profit agency providing private and court-appointed quality Guardianship services to Allegheny and surrounding counties. She is willing to make house calls and hospital appointments when necessary.

Jeanne Marie is usually accompanied to the office by her loyal Maltipoo, Tito, who serves as the paw-some resident Mayor of Pittsburgh Estate Law, P.C.! She loves being outdoors, cooking and discovering new hobbies!
